I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Oakland, CA who is committed to helping individuals develop deep interpersonal relationships, increase confidence, and discover a renewed sense of self and purpose. Many of my clients are high-achieving adults navigating work/school-related stress, relationship issues, and other major life transitions. With over 10 years of experience working with individuals, I am keenly aware that these situations are often coupled with feeling anxious, having low energy, and feeling disconnected from people and activities you typically enjoy.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, holistic, and goal-oriented. I draw from my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to support you in understanding the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, so you can live life with increase self-awareness and peace. As a Jamaican-born, New York-educated woman of color living in California, I am particularly sensitive to the impact our varying identities have on our readiness to commit to change. The identities we hold are the assets to unlocking the tools necessary to achieve our goals and life purpose.
I am committed to creating an environment that allows you to bring your full self to our work together. In addition, I will work at a pace that best meets your needs and helps you to achieve your goals.
